JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

This position reports to the Stores Supervisor and the successful applicant will be based in Dubai Airports Contract. Serco Middle East has partnered with Dubai Airports to deliver Facilities Management (FM) services for the Airports. FM services for the airport's Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, as well as its cargo and ancillary buildings are provided by Serco. The purpose of this position is to provide and ensure that all materials, stores and equipment are obtained from suppliers and subcontractors and arrive on site when planned. The incumbent will also be responsible for inspecting the materials when they arrive on site, store and distribute as necessary, whilst maintaining accuracy and integrity of the store’s inventory records for accounting purposes using the Maximo stores module

Key accountabilities:
• Manage all ordered stores from suppliers and contractors
• Receipt and inspect all materials arriving on site to ensure that the items are the items ordered, of the standard required, in good order and fit for purpose. Reject all substandard goods
• Manage all stock movements and a follow through with any discrepancies that arise and ensure all details, variances and discrepancies in received stock is recorded accurately and communicated to management and/or suppliers.
• Keep accurate records for all inwards and outwards inventory movements.
• To keep the working area / stores free of hazards as per the company’s health and safety policy reporting any potential dangers to the line manager as soon as they arise.
• Process claims where required on faulty stocks, late deliveries and short deliveries.
• To accurately pick stock items in accordance with the outgoing paperwork ensuring conformance to the customer’s requirements.
• Active in all HSE requirements and Codes of Conduct for the company
• Adhere to all Risk Assessments/ Method statements to ensure safe working practices
• Provide a high level of storage conditions and dispatching of stock to colleagues as required.
• Raise delivery notes against the stock outgoing items.
• Provide a high level of Safety & Security of stock
• Inspect incoming stock numbers adhere to the purchase order and delivery note.
• Store stock accurately in correct location as detailed by the Maximo system
• Maintain effective stock control utilizing the computerised Maximo stores system
• Administer and maintain all paperwork and delivery notes and ensure they are filed for audit inspection.
• Ensure minimum and maximum stock thresholds are maintained at all times
• Participate in audit stock taking
• Keep the stores clean and tidy at the correct temperature at all times.
• Ensure all areas of the store are safe and fit for purpose.
• Drive to deliver stores items as required

REQUIREMENTS

Essential technical and professional skills
• Experience in a stores complex operations preferred with a good knowledge of min/max systems
• Experience in the use of CAFM stores systems, (Maximo an advantage)
• Knowledge of admin, logistics, issuing of materials.
• UAE Driving License.
• Must be physically fit with the ability to meet physical requirements including lifting 25Kg and moving in a variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day, repeated twisting of the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves, regular lifting , occasional climbing of ladders etc.( Manual Handling and Risk Assessment training will be provided.
• Operation of stock rotating systems
• Operation of hand held PDA/Computer based stock systems
• High School Diploma, vocational training in building services systems an advantage.
• Knowledge of building services consumables and spares
