Site Engineer - Civil

Description

We are seeking a proactive and technically strong site engineer – civil to oversee the execution of civil works on-site. The ideal candidate will ensure the implementation of construction activities as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards while coordinating closely with site teams and project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and execute civil structural and finishing work as per the approved drawing. Monitor site operations and determine the work progress and get required approvals from QA/QC/consultant/client for the construction activities as per the project requirements and the specifications.
• Ensure and track job progress, schedules, budgets, and staffing as per the estimate and plan and control all the quality, cost, and time functioning in construction activities.
• Responsible for planning, monitoring, and suggesting control for all the resources and timely raise the purchase orders for materials and equipment.
• Assign and monitor that all tasks assigned individually to the team are completed as planned on schedule.
• Manage and supervise day-to-day construction activities at the construction site, including scheduling and supervision of subcontractors, and oversight of material deliveries.
• Prepare monthly and weekly reports in terms of progress of different activities at site and assist in preparing monthly reports for cost analysis, including material quantities, labor hours, and equipment inventories.
• Check bills and invoices from contractors including material reconciliation.
• Report and get approval to revise project plans when work needs to be adjusted as per site condition.
• Maintain accurate records of all site-related documentation with photographs.
• Maintain good working conditions with quality and safety.
• Follow HIRADC and maintain 100% safety in work by coordinating with HSE departments and by conducting toolbox meetings.
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards of the site and take care of the necessary permits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 3–5 years of UAE experience in site execution of high-rise, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction activities and technical drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project tracking tools.
• Familiarity with local regulations, DEWA, DDA/DM processes, and consultant coordination.
• Excellent communication, team coordination, and problem-solving skills.
