JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Speech Therapist up to 20K AED for a for a Speech Therapy Center in Al Ain
- Test and evaluate patients and consult with other professionals, including psychologists, social workers, neurologists, audiologists and physicians, to determine a course of treatment to improve the ability to communicate.
- Some treatment programs concentrate on creating sound, some help to develop the ability to swallow, while others center on teaching sign language, gestures or the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices.
- A major aspect of this job involves advising and counseling families and patients to manage the stress that accompanies speech disorders and steps they can take at home that complement the treatment being administered.
- As with other health care positions, speech pathology deals with documentation, record keeping and confidentiality restrictions
REQUIREMENTS
- Open to any nationality
- Male/Female, 45 years old and below
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma holder in Speech Language Pathology or any relevant license/certification
- Minimum 1 year of year of experience as speech therapist preferably in a medical setting
- Must have HAAD/DOH license/ eligibility letter as Speech Therapist/Pathologist
- Evaluate, diagnose and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals
- Excellent communication and customer service skills and team player
- Can join immediately is preferred (max 1 month)
- Work Location: Al Ain, UAE
- Salary up to 20,000 AED depending on experience and qualifications
