JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

• Leading Architecture and Engineering consultancy in Dubai seek a Strategic Business Manager to join their existing Commercial team.
• Assisting the Executive leadership to establish and prioritize business objectives that align the business with opportunities and protect it from unwarranted risks. Using analytical and problem solving skills to build roadmaps to lead the company toward gaining a sustainable competitive advantage.
• A major function for this Professional will be managing the corporate restructuring and corporate trust, managing legal implications and how this affects the day to day operation of the business. Implementing such new processes and procedures as a result of corporate restructuring.
• The strategic manager works with Executive Leadership to find and take advantage of opportunities for growth and improvement. This manager uses tools such as balanced scorecards to identify business strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. After analyzing the results, the strategic manager drives teams in developing plans to align organizational objectives with achievable targets intended to meet Executive Management expectations.
• Using project and program management skills to lead teams in assessing strategic planning projects.
• Knowledge of and experience working with project and portfolio management methodologies will help to align multiple projects focused on setting the strategic direction of the company. Planning projects include the development of financial models and business cases that enable Executive Leadership to make informed decisions before establishing strategic objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Business/Finance/Legal, with MBA is advantageous.
• Previous business strategy experience in the UAE working within the Engineering/Architecture/Construction industry is highly advantageous.
• Strategic managers should have excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills. Dynamic characteristics enabling the power to influence based on clearly articulated recommendations and concisely presented data that anticipate leadership questions.
• Previous experience in corporate restructuring is required.
