Description
* Lead conversations on opportunity development including acquisitions, greenfield set ups, joint ventures and significantly sized partnerships on a global scale
* Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework that will identify, categorise, prioritise and mitigate potential risks that could impact the business.
* Implement a robust risk monitoring and reporting system, this involves establishing processes to track and monitor identified risks and report them to relevant stakeholders.
* Negotiate contractual terms to manage risk, acquiring insurance, or diversifying the investment portfolio
* Monitor industry trends, regulations and geopolitical developments to identify potential risks and opportunities for the company
* Monitor the performance of existing investments and identify emerging risks

REQUIREMENTS
* A minimum of a bachelor's degree from a reputable university; Masters / MBA preferred
* Proven ability to develop strategies and actionable plans to forecast required infrastructure to realise full return on investments
* Proven track record of success in developing and implementing an enterprise risk management strategy in a fast-paced dynamic environment
* 15+ years of experience within strategy development and risk management, preferably within the natural resources or advisory industry
* Strong understanding of the global natural resources landscape, key market trends, and relevant regulations
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong ability to identify and assess potential risks and opportunities
* Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse international stakeholders
