JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a large investment firm based in Abu Dhabi is currently looking for a Systems and Data Associate who will be responsible for performing data governance activities.

This is an outsourced and temporary position for 1 year.

Job Responsibilities:
• Process data acquisition, when required and in coordination with investment/finance, with external parties (GPs/Funds/Portfolio Companies/External data providers)
• Investigate errors in financial data, identify root causes and follow established process to resolve the issue with the relevant parties involved
• Enter and update internal investment data for the department in Efront and other systems
• Ensure the integrity of department data received via excel based templates by utilizing and further developing the current data governance framework
• Ensure and monitor data completeness, quality, accuracy and availability for all investment data
• Become an expert on the data maintained in Efront and understand the data flow process
• Develop a good working knowledge of main Efront reports and ensure the completeness and accuracy of reports produced
• Liaise with external data providers and other third parties as required
• Maintain sound policies and procedures
• Escalate any data issues via an established process to the relevant data stewards
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all factors relating to Data Governance
• Manage and develop key internal relationships within the department
• Where appropriate, manage and develop key external relationships with external data providers
• Support more senior colleagues in the preparation of presentations to senior management within the Department
• Assist Data Governance Manager and carry out other information related tasks as required

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate/BA degree, preferably in business/business related field or with information systems/management component
• 2-3 years’ experience in data management, accounting information, management information or related field
• Accounting/Audit/Risk/Performance background preferred
• eFront experience preferred
• Knowledge of data management disciplines and practice
• Must be self-motivated, demonstrate high level of initiative and be able to work well under pressure
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and excellent time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communications as well as strong organizational, analytic and interpersonal skills
• Able to cope with fluctuation of volumes and thrive in a fast pace environment using free time judiciously
• Display a highly proactive nature
• Understanding of financial data and Real Estate as an investment class
