JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Job Description

Responsible to ensure ongoing sourcing of high volume roles as well as local talent programmes including:
* MA Programme
* International Graduate Programme
* Management Trainee Program
* Local Graduate, Intern and Work Experience Programmes.

The role holder will develop appropriate local talent acquisition strategies to deliver the country targets for the above programmes, ensuring the right candidates are recruited, at the right time, at the right price.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

TARGETS, BUDGETS & GOVERNANCE

* Partner with the business, HR Relationship Managers and Business HR Heads to understand the talent acquisition needs / pipeline over the next 12 - 18 months and agree target hiring numbers for UAEN common roles as well as local programmes in the country.
* Conduct a structured business needs discussion with key TA managers for the hiring plans and intake plan for graduate programs, identifying the key candidate requirements.
* Track local talent acquisition budget forecasts and intake (including marketing and attraction strategy and plans).
* Promote the bank as ""Employer of Choice"" through effective participation in career events and local open days, ensure effective utilization of local talent applications according to business needs and future hiring plans.
* Ensure the bank has an upto date library supporting the pipelining of local talent against the bank's high volume roles and graduate in take requirements.
* Responsible to ensure effective communication with internal and external educational institutions to attract graduates.
* Provide a full consultative service to Talent Acquisition with regards to competitor activity and market trends in entry level talent acquisition

SOURCING

* Gather and use market intelligence (e.g. knowledge of key players in the region and industry) to develop and implement innovative sourcing channel strategies, focused on building relationships with candidates throughout their university / school careers (not just penultimate/final year), to attract a diverse pool of top talent for each programme
* Timely campaign organisation and implementation to attract and directly source the best talent, identifying target schools / universities, organizing and attending careers fairs, presentations and workshops, advertising through job boards, sponsorships, press campaigns etc
* Target marketing and effectively communicate the employer brand through all sourcing channels to increase understanding and attractiveness of the Bank to potential candidates
* Manage campus teams, and business, HR, alumni and graduate participation in sourcing events (e.g. careers fairs, presentations)

EMPLOYER BRAND

* Ensure the employer brand is fully leveraged, and embedded in talent acquisition touch points (including candidate and vendor interactions), ensuring full understanding and alignment by Hiring Managers and HRRMs to deliver consistency of message and optimal candidate experience
* Deliver full compliance to employer brand governance process

REPORTING & SYSTEMS

* Analyze dashboards, reports and scorecard performance data to proactively monitor and interpret internal and external conditions, using these findings to identify areas for improvement in delivering talent acquisition solutions that meet business needs.
* Ensure proper link between PeopleSoft and UAEN Library with clear measurement of success.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Skills

Essential
* Able to deal with high recruitment volumes as well as more specialist vacancies, managing multiple vacancies at any time across a variety of disciplines
* Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels, enabling the role holder to build credibility quickly, effectively relate to graduates / post graduates / the business and successfully position Standard Chartered Bank with candidate.
* Flexible approach to work, including a willingness to ""roll up his/her sleeves"" when necessary to get the job done. Flexible approach to hours (attendance at evening events (careers fairs etc) may be required)
* Proven ability to work with and through others to achieve shared goals. Experience of building networks and relationships both internally and externally, locally and internationally (with colleagues, institutions, recruitment suppliers etc)
* Track record of working in a very organized way, multi-tasking, prioritizing, managing data, and setting and achieving deadlines (both short and long term)
* Able to deal assertively with conflict, and remain positive when under pressure
* Experience of researching, analyzing and utilizing recruitment best practice / management information
* Knowledge of / exposure to relevant employment legislation (e.g. data protection)

Preferred
* Knowledge of HR databases (e.g. PeopleSoft)
* Expertise in developing talent acquisition strategies
* Proven experience in working in a complex matrix, with a broad base of cultures, dealing with demanding and fast-paced client groups
* Technical knowledge of banking / divisions
