JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Key Responsibilities:
• The Interior Design Technical Director will lead our interior design projects from a technical and strategic standpoint, upholding the highest standards of quality, client satisfaction, and project success.
• This role demands a solid technical foundation in interior design, exceptional project management abilities, and meticulous attention to quality assurance and quality control.
•The ideal candidate is skilled in client engagement, adeptly oversees project delivery, and takes charge of submission reviews to ensure alignment with our design and operational standards.
• Take ownership of all technical aspects of interior design projects, leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring that each phase meets project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, establishing and maintaining strong relationships, understanding client goals, and ensuring their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee the delivery of projects from concept to completion, ensuring that design intent is preserved, technical standards are met, and all elements are executed flawlessly.
• Develop and implement QAQC processes across all design phases, conducting thorough checks to maintain high standards of work and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Lead and coordinate all submission reviews, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to both client requirements and internal quality standards.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to design teams, offering expertise in material selection, construction methods, and best practices for design implementation.
• Allocate and manage resources effectively across projects, balancing team workloads to optimize productivity and project quality.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project, proactively addressing potential challenges to maintain smooth project flow.
• Continuously evaluate and refine project workflows, implementing best practices that enhance efficiency, reduce rework, and streamline project delivery.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture; Min 15 years' experience with international consulting firms.• Extensive knowledge of interior design principles, building codes, construction methods, and industry standards; proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Suite.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex projects from inception through completion with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex technical information to clients and team members effectively.
• A meticulous approach to QAQC, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards of accuracy and quality.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
• Dedicated to client satisfaction, with the ability to manage expectations, negotiate needs and build lasting client relationships.
