Technical Engineer

Description

Meraki Integrated Contracting is seeking a skilled senior technical engineer with a heavy focus on construction and structural engineering projects. The responsibilities centre on managing project documentation, ensuring compliance, coordinating submittals, and liaising with various stakeholders to maintain project schedules and quality. This position will report to assistant GM-Technical.

Key responsibilities:

• Reviewing and commenting PQD, material submittals (with compliance statement) and shop drawings (internal and external)
• Reviewing and commenting rebar shop drawings and BBS
• Maintaining engineering submission logs and rebar call off log, in compliance with the baseline programme
• Preparing technical packages for sending to procurement team for contractor and supplier finalization
• Periodical site visit whenever required
• Coordinating with the project consultant, construction team and sub contractors on the engineering submissions and follow up
• Able to handle multiple projects from start to handing over in all technical aspects without any delay or pending, in compliance with the quality standards

Requirements

Minimum 5 to 7 years of UAE experience in commercial cum residential buildings (mid/high rise) in contracting company as a senior technical engineer

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (preferably more than 75% or 7.5 CGPA)
