JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Guildhall is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager to oversee a significant building construction project in Dubai. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible to ensures project designs, plans, and construction activities meet quality standards, adhere to budgets, and comply with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Design:
• Review and approve architectural, structural, and MEP designs.
• Ensure designs are optimized for functionality, cost-efficiency, and sustainability.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors during the design phase.
Technical Leadership:
• Provide technical guidance to project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Oversee design development, feasibility studies, and technical documentation.
• Resolve complex technical issues and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
Construction Oversight:
• Monitor on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality, safety, and progress.
• Address technical challenges and provide actionable recommendations.
Compliance & Standards:
• Ensure all project activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Stay updated on changes in regulations and incorporate them into project designs and execution.
Stakeholder Coordination:
• Act as the primary technical contact for clients, contractors, and consultants.
• Collaborate with project managers to align technical deliverables with project timelines and budgets.
• Manage relationships with government authorities for permits and inspections.
Cost & Resource Management:
• Optimize material selection and construction methods to balance quality and cost.
• Manage technical budgets and track resource allocation.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and cost analysis for stakeholders.
Team Development:
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
• Foster a collaborative and problem-solving culture within the technical team.
Requirements:
Qualifications:• 15+ years of experience managing large-scale building and villa construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience in managing technical aspects of building and villa projects.
• Strong understanding of design processes, construction techniques, and building codes.
• Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and project management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
