Overview of the role
We are seeking a skilled technician to join our service team in Dubai, specializing in light commercial trucks with petrol engines. The role focuses on performing high-quality service and repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the workshop's productivity and revenue.
What you will do
- Perform assigned repairs on light commercial trucks in standard time or less.
- Diagnose vehicle issues and provide accurate job reports with correct part numbers.
- Maintain workshop safety, cleanliness, and follow standard job procedures.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer standards and confirm that they are fixed correctly.
- Complete relevant check sheets and log sheets during diagnostics and repairs.
- Anticipate potential future failures and advise on preventive measures.
Required skills to be successful
- Strong mechanical and basic electrical knowledge specific to petrol engines.
- Experience with light commercial trucks (pickups, vans, small trucks).
- Ability to read and analyze drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
- Familiarity with workshop equipment and tools.
- Basic PC skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of customer service.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and willing to attend trainings to improve skills.
About the team
You will be part of a highly customer-focused and performance-oriented service team. The team thrives on technical excellence, teamwork, and delivering outstanding customer experiences. You will report to the foreman and work closely with other service technicians to ensure smooth workshop operations.
What equips you for the role
- Automobile-related diploma or certificate.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working on petrol light commercial trucks.
- Practical knowledge of workshop operations, repair manuals, and diagnostic procedures.
- A proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering quality service.
