JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Charterhouse are working with a fast-growing business that specialises in Commodity Trading and Strategic Investments, with an office in JLT, Dubai. As their operation grows, they want to hire an experienced Trading Operations Specialist to improve efficiency and standards within the trade process.
The Trading Operations Specialist will support the Head of Trading, and will be responsible for the end-to-end trade operations for crude oil and petroleum products. This involves a combination of stakeholder management, risk assessment, admin and compliance duties to ensure maximum efficiency and accurate execution of deals.
This role will oversee cargo and finance documentation, invoices, customs declarations, letters of credit, etc., while also checking for accurate trade booking, reconciliation and reporting. The Specialist must maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders such as suppliers, receivers and regulatory authorities, while coordinating with traders and shipping teams to support a smooth trade execution in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in trade operations in order to effectively balance the different aspects of the role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders at one time while maintaining accuracy in the trade documentation. The successful candidate will come from a crude oil or petroleum trading background, but other commodity trading backgrounds will be considered for the right profile.Fluency in multiple languages is preferred due to the necessary communication with stakeholders throughout Europe and Asia.
