JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Traffic Control System Engineer(Signalized Junctions Civil Works)

• Experience in Traffic Control Systems (TCS) of junctions and pedestrian crossings in infrastructure development projects and In-depth understanding of TCS/ITS systems.
• Design knowledge in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), including traffic signals, electronic warning systems, toll booths, tunnels, dynamic message signs, and lane control systems.
• Familiarity with road drawings, signage, surface marking, and traffic signal integration near railroads, LRT, one-lane, two-way, and work zones.
• Design experience in freeway and expressway entrance ramps.
• Knowledge of signal timing concepts, time-space diagrams, lane control signals, traffic signal controllers, and signalized roundabouts.
• Design experience in TCS/ITS corridors, ducts/manholes, and road crossing ducts.
• Collaboration with transportation strategy teams for traffic control signal design based on Traffic Master plans, Traffic Impact Assessment, and mobility strategy.
• Possessing approval from ITC Abu Dhabi for traffic control systems design for communication is an added advantage.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirements:
• Design of traffic control systems, signalized junctions, tunnels, toll booths, and intelligent transportation systems using Civil 3D and Revit MEP experience and skills, including ProjectWise, infra works, Navis works, BIM, etc.
• Ability to work closely with design leads and manage the approval process, interfacing with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• In-depth understanding of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and UAE; additional experience in KSA and other Middle East projects is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Autodesk 2D, 3D, Revit MEP, and BIM.
• Strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects.
• Technical report writing skills and developing specifications and data sheets.
• Working towards digitalization skills, innovations, and improvements to manage workload and accomplish deliverables.
• Ability to work with multiple teams with diverse backgrounds on geographically and culturally diverse projects.
• Experienced in working with diverse teams and performing specific portions of broader engineering assignments.
• Preferred qualifications:
• Minimum bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent, 3-5 years of experience in traffic controls and infrastructure design only.
