JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the annual implementation of maintenance training plans to ensure that the highest possible maintenance and repair standards are being achieved. Be accountable for implementing best practices. In addition you will be required to support all other training needs on the contract. You will also be expected to provide specialist advice and guidance to the client and interface at contract management level to implement changes to current
working practice.

Key Job Responsibilities
Being hands on role as well as operating at a management level you will be responsible for the successful implementation of all training needs within the contract. That’s included technical and soft skills training. In addition being responsible for sourcing specialist training as and when required. Implement best practice maintenance and repair systems in line Serco Middle East standard
operating procedures, including managing and reporting on any change program that is
required to implement best practice. Manage the workload of the Training Office including setting and agreeing annual performance reviews. Ensure team welfare is of the upmost concern providing support where required. Design and own the annual training plan Present and gain buy in form the Senior management and client for annual plans and ad hoc requirements. Be able to develop training plans and lesson plans to ensure objectives are met within training sessions Deliver training to the workforce using PowerPoint and interactive sessions Provide coaching and mentoring as and when required. Also developing mentoring & buddy programs. Act as technical expert to provide consultation and advice to client senior management Design and implement technical training programs to ensure that maintenance staff are Competent of undertaking planned and corrective maintenance activities. Deliver hands on and classroom based training. Design communication to ensure employees understand any changes in rules / regulations Conduct Tool box talks to a structured program. Produce technical hand books and guides as and when required. Responsible for writing, developing and designing policies and procedures related to training.

REQUIREMENTS

Skills

An experienced manager with the ability to motivate and develop employees. Must have a proven track record in a technical/training engineering Must have strong Hard service technical skills Ability to influence senior management Must have project management skills Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams. Must have a hands approach to technical solutions. A good command of English Language is essential, reading and writing in Arabic would be Advantageous. Knowledge of MS Packages is essential including PowerPoint.
Experience Must have a proven track record in technical engineering & technical training Soft services training experience Experience of designing training programs
Experience Must have at least 5 years experience in a technical/training role Evidence of devising training plans and delivery Previous management experience would be advantageous
