JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

This well established and successful multi-branded retail group who has operations throughout the GCC region and beyond operates in a number of different retail categories including fashion, beauty & F&B. As part of planned growth they are expanding their Retail Training function and now seeking to recruit a Training Manager based in Dubai with regional responsibility.

The role:
• Reporting to the GM you will be tasked with managing the regional training requirements of store & area manager staff
• Develop an annual training calendar in line with new product / seasons & company objectives
• Design and develop customized training programs for various areas including customer service, product & merchandise cross selling and mentoring needs including needs analysis, content development & effectiveness management
• Working in conjunction with Retail Operations in the “follow up” of training programs
• Travel within the region GCC as required to deliver training programs
• Growing the training team, recruitment, career development & appraisals as required
• Be instrumental in the new staff induction process of new retail employees

REQUIREMENTS

Requirements
• Must have a strong background in formal training, especially in provision of merchandise & product training / soft skills / customer service & sales in the Retail sector
• A minimum of 6 years’ formal experience is required ideally with tertiary or formal training qualifications (Train the Trainer)
• Good understanding of the Retail sector with experience in either Fashion, Beauty, Cosmetics, Department Stores experience is essential
• Passion, drive and above all enthusiasm for retail. Motivational characteristics area essential!
• Must have excellent planning, time management, presentation & communication skills
• Ability to design templates for needs analysis and ability to facilitate workshop programs
• Exceptional people skills with the ability to “capture an audience”
• Strong people management and allocation of tasks
• Ability to speak English and Arabic is essential
