JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Transport / Logistics Supervisor - Ras Al Khaimah
We are currently seeking an experienced transport cum logistics supervisor for our concrete blocks company in Ras Al Khaimah. Eligible candidates have experience in dealing with heavy duty trucks transportation for a large fleet of vehicles.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Complete management of the transportation division which includes more than 15 heavy duty delivery vehicles
- Scheduling trucks and drivers for delivery of blocks and interlocks to customer sites across the UAE
- Monitoring vehicle and drivers movements on the gps tracking software
- Optimizing deliveries to ensure maximum possible number of deliveries (trips) per day
- Scheduling preventative maintenance of vehicles on a regular schedule
- Obtaining permission for vehicles for relevant traffic police departments
- Training drivers on safety and use of vehicles and cranes
- Making arrangements for vehicle renewals and inspections
- Scheduling driver's annual leave
- Managing team of drivers and logistics coordinators in two sites
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 7 years as Transport / logistics supervisor or coordinator
- Graduate with a bachelors degree from a reputed university
- Good communications skills in English and Urdu / Hindi
- Good understanding of mechanical functions
- PC Skills
- Strong leadership skills
