JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
The Travel Consultant will be responsible for providing personalized travel planning services to clients, including flight bookings, accommodation arrangements, and tailored travel itineraries. The role involves advising clients on travel options, ensuring smooth and enjoyable travel experiences, and assisting with all aspects of travel arrangements. The consultant will work with other departments to ensure that customer needs are met and high service standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel Planning and Consultation:
- Offer expert advice on destinations, travel options, and holiday packages based on clients' preferences and budgets.
Flight and Accommodation Bookings:
- Make flight, hotel, and other travel-related bookings using travel booking systems and platforms, ensuring all reservations meet client requirements.
Custom Itineraries:
- Create custom travel itineraries that include tours, activities, and experiences tailored to the client's interests, preferences, and timeframe.
Client Relations and Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with travel inquiries, recommending suitable travel products, and resolving travel-related issues or concerns.
Travel Documentation and Visa Support:
- Assist clients with visa requirements, travel insurance, and other necessary travel documentation. Ensure clients are informed of travel regulations, such as visa requirements, entry restrictions, and health protocols.
Collaboration with Vendors and Suppliers:
- Work with travel partners, airlines, hotels, and tour operators to provide the best travel options and secure the best deals for clients.
Handling Cancellations and Changes:
- Manage travel changes or cancellations, handling rebookings, refunds, and other necessary modifications to ensure a hassle-free experience for clients.
Stay Updated on Trends and Regulations:
- Keep up with industry trends, changes in airline policies, new travel destinations, and global travel advisories to provide accurate information and advice to clients.
Requirements:
Educational Background:- Diploma or degree in Tourism, Travel, Hospitality, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience as a Travel Consultant or in a similar role within the tourism industry.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of travel booking systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to manage multiple bookings and handle last-minute changes effectively.
- Proficiency in using online booking tools, Microsoft Office, and general travel software.
Other Requirements:
- Multilingual abilities (English, Arabic, and/or other languages) preferred.
- Familiarity with UAE and global travel destinations, particularly key tourist spots.
