JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Objectives:

The main purpose of this position is to actively contribute to the successful achievement of Restaurants goals of High Standard Quality customer service. To provide superior customer service . To ensure facilities are maintained to the standard required.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work with team members in restaurant in order to maximize sales and guest satisfaction and to ensure smooth operations
• Identify and act on upselling opportunities to enhance average sales
• Actively use up selling techniques to exceed guest expectations and increase revenue
• Taking guests orders and recommends food and beverage items, and special promotions if available
• Process ordered items into restaurant’s register system accurately and efficiently
• Be familiar with the special dishes and drinks on the menu of season and provides assistance by giving information about the products
• Ensure that continued service is managed during the course of the meal
• Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs
• Ensure minimum wastage and spoilage
• Follows the correct service procedures and conducts an efficient and courteous service to the guests
• Greets and effectively communicates the restaurant’s philosophy and products to guests
• Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request
• Be well versed with the menu and explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods
• Initiate conversation to understand guest’s needs and requirements
• Help guests with any queries they may have surrounding the foods or drinks
• Coordinate with the kitchen staff, bar staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction
• Sharing information with guests about the status of their orders
• Keep a constant eye on the table to gauge needs to refill them immediately throughout the meal
• Finding out if guests need additional items
• Verifying that guests are satisfied with their orders
• Process sales and payments on the system efficiently and accurately and close transactions courteously
• Request appropriate guest details to feed into the guest database required for sending through brand promotions
• Maintain knowledge of special, top and low-selling dishes and drinks
• Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas and servicing equipment
• Attends the daily service briefing
• Write guests food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years of experience in the Food and Beverage industry
