JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
• Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with the company’s policies and vision.
• Setting up the layout and ensuring efficient & accurate space utilization.
• Ensure mechanical equipment is handled efficiently; making sure quality and environmental objectives are met.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor the receipt, order, assembly, and dispatch of goods as well as the documentation relating to Transport, forwarders, and customs.
• Monitor all inbound and outbound inventory management.
• Track inventory movement and variances to ensure no inconsistency in the warehouse and make sure of inventory location as well.
• Prepare an annual leave plan and manage the workforce in the warehouse without disturbing the operational activities of the department.
• Manage stock control (perpetual & periodic) and reconcile with a data storage system and ensure stock control systems are up to date and make sure inventories are accurate to plan future capacity requirements.
• Work with the HR department on the recruitment of warehouse employees.
• Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, training and disciplining employees.
• Implement all company rules and regulations within the warehouse & logistics team.
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report, logistics reports, etc.).
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, transport companies, forwarders, and government institutions such as JAFZA, and customs.
• Monitor to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
• Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, and brief team daily.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment.
• Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
• Comply with local, state, and other countries' warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and review professional publications.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of warehouse & logistics.
• Coordination with Sales & purchase teams for outbound & inbound shipments and respective documentation to make sure they are in order and avoid any penalties/fines relating to documentation errors and raise the issue as soon as possible with the relevant authority to avoid any delays in shipment as well as financial consequences.
• Well versed in logistics documentation checks before processing and managing the logistics team to ensure compliance and timely dispatch and receiving of shipments.
Salary:
AED
12,000 to 15,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 8 years strong work experience as a Warehouse & Logistics Manager.
• Has strong knowledge and experience in WMS & managing logistics documentation and processes.
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in logistics, production, or engineering.
• Postgraduate will be preferred in any discipline.
• Strong knowledge of best practices in Warehousing – Inventory management & stock reporting and automated WMS systems.
• NetSuite experience will be preferred.
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives, and training of subordinates.
• Strong knowledge of warehousing & logistics Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Leadership skills and ability to manage a staff of 15+. Managing and planning for resource requirements.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
