Description
Apt Resources is currently looking for a warehouse stock controller to join their client's team for a supermarket chain in Angola, West Africa. As a stock controller, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of the store by managing the incoming stock, ensuring accurate documentation, and organizing the stockroom efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Counting stock and making inventory reports for warehouses
- Receive and inspect stock deliveries
- Check the quantity and quality of incoming stock
- Handle documentation and maintain accurate records of stock
- Organize and maintain the stockroom
- Ensure stock is properly labeled and stored
- Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure timely restocking
- Monitor and track inventory levels
- Collaborate with the sales team to address any stock-related issues
- Follow proper safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist in other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience counting stock and making inventory reports for warehouses
- Experience in working in supermarkets or hypermarkets is essential
- Prior experience as a stock receptionist or similar role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic computer skills
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and long periods of standing
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus
