JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team in Uzbekistan. In this pivotal role, you will oversee project scheduling, resource allocation, and progress monitoring to ensure successful and timely completion of oil and gas projects. Your expertise will directly influence the efficient execution and delivery of key operations in a challenging and rewarding environment.
• Prepare a master programme that shows all aspects of the project required to be managed, from Engineering, procurement, approvals and construction through to completion, testing and commissioning, handover, and completion of all contractual obligations under the respective contracts/agreements, including the defects liability period.
• Ensure that all contracted parties prepare the various programmes required of them, including but not limited to Engineering programme, procurement programme, submittal programme, construction programme, 4 week and 2 week look-ahead programme, recovery/mitigation programme, and the like and shall thoroughly review those programmes for incorporation into and compliance with the project master programme following the employer guidelines and specifications
• Manage all contracted parties for adherence to the current approved programmes, forecast any potential delays, advise on means of recovery/mitigation measures and make recommendations for extensions of time claims or penalties in the case of delays, in accordance with the requirements of the relevant contracts, for the client's consideration
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, supervision consultants, sub-contractors, vendors and regulatory authorities to ensure alignment and compliance with project specifications and regulations
•Oversee the development and implementation of project plans, schedules, and budgets
•Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvemen
•Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to address any deviations from the project plan.
Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree is required as a minimum• 10+ years of experience in projects, specifically in Oil & Gas
• Proven experience in a similar role on programmes with a similar scope
• In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Proficiency in project Planning, scheduling and resource management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
•Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
•A proactive approach to risk management and conflict resolution
•Fluency in Russian or Uzbek is highly desirable.
