Draftsman - Marine/ O&G Construction

Required to join an international contractor working on the construction of a port in Morocco

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that drafting activities performed are on time, determines the causes of any deviation and seeks assistance peers (senior draftsman, etc.) whenever required, so that any potential problems or delays are mitigated promptly.
• Establishes a positive relationship with Engineers and drafting personnel.
• Performs Drafting Works in accordance with project specifications.
• Keeps up to date with developments of drafting software and utilities, consistently seeks training and further professional advancement.
• Attends designated meetings as requested.
• Ensures that the drawing database is kept abreast, maintained and accessible to Engineering Staff.
• Drafts and reviews drawings prepared by others as requested.
• Performs any other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent command of English, and either French and Arabic
• University degree
• Experience in Shop Drawings and Bar bending schedules is a MUST
• Competency in AutoCAD with demonstrated experience
• Minimum Five (5) years of experience in construction companies
• Previous experience in EPC Marine Construction and/or Oil & Gas construction industry is preferred
