Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To manage, lead and establish the relationships at both the Union and Regional Government level. In addition, it is the lead role for advice to the Company with respect to Myanmar law and the Myanmar court system.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Provide operational leadership in the development and representation of the commercial interests of Ooredoo operations to government
- Manage and develop a relationship of trust and constructive engagement between Ooredoo and government authorities
- Lead the development of internal projects and processes required for legal compliance
- Advise superior, top management of threats and opportunities created by existing and proposed laws
- Proactively influence Myanmar legislative action by facilitating a relationship of trust with governments at various levels
- Lead Myanmar National Legal Team

Requirements

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Economics/ legal or similar filed and Post Graduate Professional Degree or Myanmar Equivalent Law
- At least 10 years of Myanmar Legal Experiences
- Demonstrated effectiveness in a regulatory role
- Solid understanding of the business aspects of legal issues in the telecom industry
- Understanding of telecommunications networks and technology
- Extensive legal and regulatory knowledge, Business & Financial Acumen
- High attention to accuracy, reconciliation and Q&A
