RAN System Design Senior Engineer

Job description / Role

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

System design and dimension of RAN in a Multi-Technology environment. Drive improvement with innovative solutions in the area of RAN.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Provide technical expertise in the area of RAN Design, Performance & System Optimization. Scope of work includes:

- RNC & RAN Features
- Capacity planning & Forecasting
- Performance KPI Reporting
- Traffic analysis & Network performance
- Project/SLAs Management
- Interaction with MS Team (NPO)
- Preparation of RFP/RFQ and technical evaluation of vendor proposals.
- Responsible for RAN equipment ordering and technical validation of BoQs.
- Functional verification and acceptance of RAN network elements in accordance to the technical documentation.
- Responsible for leading the solution analysis, solution design (and when required) leading technical teams.
- Oversees implementation and trials of new Radio Network Features & Technologies (PoC).
- Participate in cross functional meetings with key stakeholders involved in the development and deployment of network services in order to define best solutions for existing, as well as new products and services.
- Development and validation of Business Cases with Marketing to check the justification for Investment.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- University Graduate preferably master degree in Telecommunications Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in RF Engineering, Radio Planning and Radio Network Optimization Frequency ( frequency retuning/ re-farming ) & Interference
- Experience in handling RF planning tools, Capacity Tools, Geo-location tools, GIS, and drive test tools
- Knowledge of Parameters definition
- Drive testing/ fault diagnosis using Network Optimization Tools
- Very strong understanding of E2E RAN equipment hardware
- Proficient in the use of basic PC applications such as Microsoft Office, Windows and other related planning tools
- Basic database administration skills
