Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsibilities:
• Postdoctoral Research Associate with demonstrated experience in G Protein Coupled Receptor (GPCR) research through publications.
• Expertise in opioid GPCRs is essential as the project will involve studies of heteromers of opioid receptors with other GPCRs.
• The laboratory skills needed for this position include:
• Cell culture and Cell biology (e.g. establishment of cell lines, cell lysis and fractionation, Bioluminescence Resonance Energy Transfer (BRET) and kinetic measurement for G protein-mediated responses
• Pharmacology (e.g. ligand-receptor binding assays, in vivo metabolic labeling and measurement of the labeled products)
• Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (e.g. co-immunoprecipitation, protein expression in bacteria and purification, DNA/RNA extraction and purification, cloning, PCR, RNA experiments)
• Cell imaging and Histology (e.g. optical microscopy, fluorescence microscopy, immunocytochemistry)

Requirements

Qualifications:
• The candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree in the Health Sciences
• Some postdoctoral experience would be preferred
• The candidate should have extensive experience in G Protein Coupled Receptor (GPCR) research as demonstrated through publications in high impact journals with particular focus on opioid GPCRs
• The desired technical skills include: Cell culture and Cell biology (e.g. establishment of cell lines, cell lysis and fractionation
