Job description / Role

Our client is a key player within the Energy market and is a leading Transmission System Operator that focuses on the European Energy market. With a prestigous new project in Europe, or client is seeking an experienced Primary Technical Engineer to be based in the Netherlands and responsible for technical engineering of the Land Station which will connect offshore grid connection systems to the onshore grid.
You will work as Interim Primary Engineer for power cables and lines, working within the new assets department in charge of a specific technical discipline, controlling engineering works of the projects and programs.
Your activities include:
• Monitoring / tests of the engineering work in accordance with the scope and within the constraints defined by the client.
• Control and testing of remote engine running parties;
• Preparation of basic designs, technical specifications and work packages, monitoring technical compliance and reviewing calculations, drawings, reports and third party analysis; and the testing of test certificates and delivery documents (W. O. as-built) in the field of engineering.
• Attending testing equipment and testing and evaluating protocols and reports;
• Ensuring quality, performance and relevant (inter) national standards and guidelines in terms of lines, cables and high-voltage installations;
• As a spider in the web of contact and partner for technical issues related to primary technique and power connections;
• Answering questions from other disciplines and stakeholders on primary technique and power connections;
• Representing the engineering team at the (front) design and procurement process: preparing tender documents relating to the technique, reviewing third-party tender documents and attending BAFO talks with third parties;
• Representing the engineering team during the execution of the engineering contract and realization by third parties; contact for third parties and attending meetings (PMT, engineering consultation, construction meetings).

Requirements
• Bachelor degree (Mechanical / Electrical / Power).
• Fluent Dutch speaking, reading, writing
• Well-developed communication skills and experience with project work
• You are familiar with the principles, standards and regulations
• Familiar with, UAV and UAV-GC contracts and contract management.
• At least 2 years experience, in the high voltage technology and experience in the field of connections, lines and cables in the high voltage technology is clearly preferable.
• You will be able to take a helicopter view and work well under pressure.
• You have strong analytical skills.
• As a team player you are pro-active, results-oriented, to unite professional and capable of dealing with different groups within a project.
• You are used and / or like to do more 'review-end' and coordinating work instead of a prime focus on detail engineering.
• Flexibility to work alternately in Arnhem and Hoogeveen or project sites
