Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The overall purpose of the role is to be responsible to lead on the timely delivery of the monthly and quarterly consolidated accounts, manage the annual business budget and process, along with managing the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) reporting across all Business Units and Joinre-forecastt Ventures.

Reporting to the Group CFO, your primary responsibility is to manage and improve the internal and external reporting functions: including and not limited to:
* Internal Reporting - Oversee all consolidated financial reporting, review and understanding of all Business Unit management accounts, KPIs (Balanced Score Cards), and cash flow forecasts,
* Segment Reporting - delivery of monthly & quarterly reporting, including ad-hoc requests as required.
* Business Planning Process - Responsible for business planning process across the Group, including issuing instructions, detailed templates, setting assumptions, data collection, consolidation, review and interrogation.
* Alignment and Compliance - Assure alignment and consistency with Group reporting requirements, time lines and Policies,
* Total Reporting - Responsible for consolidating and reporting to the Executive Committee - monthly reporting, Budget and forecasts (plus others as required), pulling out the key messages and insights to drive timely decision making for the business.
* Reporting Insights - Overseeing, challenging and preparing cortical business commentary, variance analysis to provide insight and drive decision-making. Meet with Business Unit / JV Finance leads AHEAD of formal Executive review.
* Reporting Quality - Driving quality in reporting and planning across Jagal, ensuring right first time, and insight to drive decision making
* Technology - maximise the value and application of technology for report production and business planning,
* Business Partner - working with each business unit/ JV Finance lead to provide primarily support and secondary control as required
* Finance Policies - prepare, update and roll out across the Group, enhanced Finance policies and procedures, to ensure quality and consistency in reporting and controls.

* Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Requirements

* Qualified accountant, with at least 5 years post qualification experience
* Reporting and Business Planning (experience essential)
* Advanced Excel User
* Experience in selection of following sectors (preferred) - Oil & Gas, Technology Media and Telecoms (TMT), FMCG, or Property, Joint Ventures.
* Broad commercial awareness and able to focus on the key business issues and propose practical options towards a solution (assist in execution where required).
* Absolute confidentiality and total discretion
* Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders;
* Excellent networker and relationship developer;
* Effective communicator to Board level, who has ability to communicate complex messages with clarity
* High level of intellect and integrity;
* Strong project management skills;
* Interpersonal skills to engage staff at all levels
