Claims Executive

Job description / Role

Leading Maritime Insurance Organisation has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Claims Executive.

Job Purpose
• Provide a Professional cost effective Claims Handling and general legal service to the full range of clients.
• You will be the Senior Legal and Claims professional leading by example and focusing on all aspects of P&I and FDD operations.

Specific Duties
• Handle claim files, respond to Members and Clients on Business Unit P&I and Defence matters
• Prepare reports including agenda notes, notification to reinsurers, clients and third parties
• Manage all case files of large claims and work with the underwriters
• Work with the loss prevention department
• Detailed understanding of the foundations of shipping law

Requirements

We are looking for a Claims Executive from a law firm, P&I Club and/or shipping company Competent in handling all aspects P&I and FDD claims handling.

• Competent in attending meetings with clients and able to contribute effectively in a professional manner
• Applicants must have a Law Degree and legal qualification in a relevant jurisdiction, preferably English Qualified Solicitor
• Knowledge within several subject areas is an advantage
• Excellent English communication skills - verbal and written
