Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Accountant will be accountable for the day to day and timely processing of all Record To Report transactions, as well as the month end reporting and variance analysis.

The Accountant will perform the day to day processing of Record To Report transactions to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date, timely and accurate manner. Main Activities include, but are not limited to:
- Creating, processing and posting journal entries to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner
- Routine accounting duties including month-end closing and ensure financials are submitted on time according to the company month end timetable
- Responsible for general ledger account analysis and reconciliations so that the finacials are reported accurately to management and external stakeholders
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in a timely fashion to identify any issues that might arise
- Researching financial information for audit purposes and financial reporting
- Analyzing financial records and reports and make adjustments as needed
- Helping to improve processes and procedures within the Team

Requirements

- Minimum 2-3 years professional experience as an accountant is a must
- A degree holder in Accounting is a must
- Preferable professional accounting qualification
- IFRS knowledge
- Ability to produce and present financial information to be used at all levels of the organization
- Have a methodical, process orientated approach with rigorous attention to detail
- Be proactive in identifying potential problems and developing solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills to work sensitively with a complex culture of strong political relationships, rivalries and alliances
