Job description / Role

Operational

- Monitor and conducts briefing to all baggage handling personnel assigned on a flight to ensure that manpower and equipment are positioned at the built-up, reconciliation and arrival areas on time.
- Monitor baggage handling personnel to ensure that inbound baggage is delivered promptly and on time to the arrival area and baggage segregation is carried out expeditiously.
- Monitor the baggage area to ensure transfer baggage are forwarded- dispatched to the aircraft without delay for scheduled departure.
- Monitor security items received along transfer baggage container requirements along with timings of baggage and container received at BHU area.
- Monitor mix-loaded containers from origin destination and send telex reminder to station concerned and advise duty room- load control regarding rush baggage forwarded to the respective station.
- Expedite handling of interline transfer - rush baggage which are X-rayed by ROP.
- Monitor offloaded baggage due to space limitation and maintain records of non-reconciled-misrouted- damaged baggage, transfer baggage, reconciliation telexes and advise MHL.
- Monitor the baggage handling section to ensure proper use of motorized and non- motorized equipment and identify potential problems in handling of baggage take remedial actions.
- Monitor the baggage handling section to ensure compliance airline safety procedures and quality procedures laid down by the company
- Ensure compliance to safety and security regulations.
- Update knowledge of current company policy and procedures by reading, memo, circulars and manual updates.

Requirements

- Two years college diploma in related discipline
- OR IATA specialised course with 2 years of relevant work experience
- OR Secondary School Certificate having 2 years of work experience will be an advantage
