Backend Developer (Django/Python)

Job description / Role

We are looking for a talented Backend Developer with at least 2 years of professional experience in Django/Python to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building secure APIs, managing databases, and deploying production-ready backend systems. This is an urgent requirement — candidates must be ready to join within 15 days.

Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Django + Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Implement JWT authentication and token refresh for secure mobile app integration.
• Manage relational databases (PostgreSQL), including schema design, migrations, and query optimization.
• Handle file uploads (PDFs, images) securely and efficiently.
• Implement OTP-based login flows (via SMS/email).
• Work with Celery + Redis for background jobs (e.g., rate limiting, scheduled tasks).
• Integrate APIs with frontend (Flutter) and external services.
• Develop subscription and payment handling logic.
• Deploy and monitor backend services on cloud platforms.
• Set up proper logging, error monitoring, and observability .
• Ensure clean code, documentation, and testing (unit tests + API docs).

• 2+ years of experience with Django/Python in production.
• Strong knowledge of Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• Experience with JWT authentication & secure API development.
• Familiarity with file handling and uploads.
• Understanding of OTP flows (SMS/email).
• Knowledge of Celery + Redis for async/background tasks.
• Version control (Git/GitHub) and CI/CD familiarity.
• Good debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills.

Salary:
OMR 350 to 400 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
