Balancing Technician

Job description / Role

• Assists the Balancing Engineer/ Workshop Manager in smooth Erection and commissioning of the LS/HS Balancing Mcs
• Can install and Align the Rotor on the High Speed / Low Speed Balancing machines and carry out the HS/LS Balancing of Rotors.
• Help Implement safe working practices
• Can read and interpret the relevant Engg procedures/drawings, particularly for Balancing Grades and requirement.
• Can machine/Fabricate small jigs and fixtures like Balancing Bearings,Drive Adapters, Balancing Weights etc. Carry out inspection for the same.
• Can assist Workshop Engineer /Fitter/Machinist in Fitting, Machining and QA-QC of Turbomachinery Rotors if Required.
• Ensuring smooth job execution in coordination with Workshop and QA/QC Engrs. Handling customer inspections

Requirements

• Post High school – Vocational training course as an industrial fitter/machinist /tradesman
• 8 years or more experience of High Speed as well as Low speed Balancing of Turbomachinery Rotors , preferably with a reputed International Turbomachinery Company.
• Should be able to carry out High Speed Balancing and Low Speed Balancing of Turbomachinery Rotors
• Good English communication skills- oral and written
• Desirable- Knowledge of instrumentation and electrics related to Balancing
• Desirable- Experience in Maintenance of Balancing Machines . Experience in Fitting/Machining/ QA of Turbomachinery Rotors
