Bid Manager - Oman-based Contractor

My client is a Western Civils Contractor based out of Oman, also with offices across Dubai, Qatar and in the UK.
They are well established in the region and have been operating here for 20+ years, boasting an impressive portfolio of Civils projects.

They are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Bid Manager to oversee operations across the region based out of their Muscat Head Office.
This role will be based out of Oman full time and will report into the Group Tender / Estimation Manager.

This is a strategic Bid Manager role. NOT an Estimator. They have several Estimators in the organisation currently but what they need is an out and out Bid Manager. Someone who can identify key areas in which they should be winning work, identify what the client wants and role out procedures / strategies as to exactly how they will win the work.
They must be able to demonstrate key projects they have won in previous roles. But most importantly they will be able to demonstrate strategies of HOW they have won work and HOW they will continue to win work.

Requirements

- Must have worked for a Main Contractor in the Middle East in the role of Bid Manager.
- Must be able to demonstrate key projects they have secured in previous roles in the region.
- Will be able to lay out a clear strategy of how they approach winning work and why.
- They are looking for innovative candidates for this role. This is important.
- Degree qualified ideally (Western educated.)
