Job description / Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team in Oman. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry and a proven track record of developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth. The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and enhancing our service offerings, while working closely with various internal teams to ensure the successful execution of projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills to contribute to our company's growth and success in a rapidly evolving market.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the construction sector through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners to promote our services and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for growth.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients, highlighting our unique value propositions and service offerings.
- Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and project deliverables.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue targets and expand our market share.
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in contract negotiations and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure our business development strategies remain competitive.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our brand and services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the construction industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the construction market in Oman and the broader Middle East region.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic business plans and drive results.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other business development tools to manage leads and track sales activities.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
