Job description / Role
A leading Facilities Management provider is looking for Business Development Manager to join their team in Muscat, Oman.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development of the country business growth strategy
- Identify new revenue-generation opportunities that enhance and promote our operations
- Establish a true business development approach and action plan to develop and promote the company business across all targeted markets
- Set up a robust sales process and develop the pipeline
- Refine and customize proposal, presentation and marketing materials appropriate for the local market
- Answer to RFI, RFPs and participate to negotiations
- Establish the winning strategy for each tender
- Fully manage the technical organization of our responses, design solution in collaboration with Finance and Operations, then collate the answers in a comprehensive solution for client
- Ensure site visits as well as the calculation and determination of the profit and loss account, analysis of risks and opportunities
- Ensure successful mobilization and smooth handover to operations
- Collect customer expectations and lead negotiations with clients
- Manage and build key relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Work with the existing team to ‘adopt’ existing relationships as part of a longer term succession plan.
- Refine and ensure high quality tracking (CRM) and reporting implemented and followed
Requirements
- Relevant and demonstrable industry experience
- Over 4 years’ experience in Operations and/or Business Development roles with IFM and/or industrial activities
- Previous Middle East Experience desirable or similar/complementary
- Strong commercial management skills
- High level capability with Excel, Word and ability with graphic/presentation software
- Ability to interface with management at all levels and cultures
- Excellent negotiation, communication and influencing skills
- Rigorous, methodical, process-oriented
- Fluent in English (high caliber written, spoken and presentation), Knowledge of Arabic Advantageous
- Strong business relationship capabilities
