Business Partner - Project Management Office

Job description / Role

Our client is one of the biggest players in the Oil and Gas industry in the Sultanate of Oman. OmanCareers is seeking to recruit an OMANI to fill the position of 'Business Partner - Project Management Office'. The main role of this position is to ensure an efficient and on-time implementation of key projects and initiatives associated with the client's strategy.

The ideal candidate is expected amongst other things to;

- Manage key projects associated with client's 5-year strategic plan.
- Consolidate and analyse data collected from various projects status information, comparing results with approved timelines.
- Contribute to the development/update of annual strategic planning cycle.
- Ensure all initiative team leaders populate and update the project management tool with necessary frequency through active follow-up with said leaders and their respective team.
- Drive on-time delivery of planned activities and tasks by ensuring buy-in from all stakeholders and establishing a sense of urgency within the ranks to support strategic initiatives.
- Proactively support the development of solutions to overcome critical issues/potential bottlenecks.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have;
- Leadership, team building and management skills
- Proven ability to develop and manage relationships with various stakeholders
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills

The candidate should ideally possess the following.
- A degree in Finance, Business or Engineering. A Masters in Project Management is a plus
- Experience in corporate evaluation, project management, or corporate financing
- Good understanding of Oil and Gas downstream business
- Experience in change management is a plus
