Job Description:

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Review low and medium value material requisitions against key controls and criteria, (i.e. business case, Company policy, specifications, HSE aspects, company estimates etc), to validate that each requisition processed meet basic standard for satisfying demand without compromising value.
- Assess materials demand against supplier & market availability and determine the appropriate acquisition tactic (e.g. call-off, Buying House Agreement, single or multiple tender, etc).
- Prepare and issue enquiry documents, and analyse bids (including HSE, technical, risk commercial analysis and ICV aspects) for low and/or medium value materials and recommend most optimal award proposal that delivers value to Company.
- Prepare, present and defend transaction submissions (strategy, enquiry and award) for medium value materials to Company Tender Committees to obtain approval in accordance with the Endorsement Body requirement for commitment processing, in accordance with Company's control framework.
- Prepare and/or issue purchase order documents for low and medium value materials, incorporating general and specific controls applicable (including regulatory, HSE, technical, commercial, Nigerian Content and logistics requirements) to ensure timely delivery of fit-for purpose materials.
- Support the resolution of all issues hampering the timely delivery of fit-for purpose materials to assist in expediting on time goods delivery.
- Assist with the development and implementation of annual procurement plans within their business area, to maximize value and deliver materials required for budget, operational, and activity plans implementation.
- Support the development and implementation of category strategies within their business areas, to ensure high percentage of planned optimal solutions are available to deliver materials required for budget, operational and activity plans implementation.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

A university degree in engineering, business or financial management or any related discipline. Membership of The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or Nigeria, or Institute of Supply Management (ISM) US or equivalent at a diploma or certified level is an advantage.

Experience

3-5 years experience in similar role in reputable organization.
