Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The main purpose of this position is to follow up on sweeping and waste collection activities to ensure proper completion of set plans within set norms of quality and safety standards, updating supervisor and reporting any discrepancies or deviations from original frameworks.

- Coordinates with the Labor Dispatch to ensure availability of required number of laborers and provisions for approved additional manpower, as assigned to the area and as per set schedule. Monitors attendance and performance throughout shift duration.
- Coordinates with the Vehicle Control to ensure dispatch of the required number of vehicles and provisions for approved additional resources, as assigned to the area.
- Ensures availability of cleaning tools and materials and monitors proper handling by laborers.
- Indicates locations and streets to laborers and provides instruction on how to operate, pointing out important spots, ensuring abidance by safety and health standards.
- Reports vehicle breakdowns and shortages to the Operations Supervisor and to the Vehicle Control; ensures relievers and route reallocations.
- Reports discrepancies and work accidents to the Operations Supervisor, to ensure reliever.
- Performs regular tours on bins locations to check progress of cleaning activities and standards, providing related feedback to drivers, requesting assistance for bulky waste and reporting discrepancies in operations and damaged bins to the Operations Supervisor.
- Performs regular tours on all assigned locations, ensuring cleanliness of streets, following set standards, and reallocating laborers as per work requirements.
- Ensures that all activities are carried out within the set safety and health standards, ensuring that all staff are wearing the assigned PPE, reporting work accidents to the Operations Supervisor.
- Sends summary Report to Data Entry personnel including drivers' route sheets and laborers time sheets.
- Performs assigned activities adopting set quality standards, properly communicating with pedestrians and civil drivers to reflect the proper image of the company.
- Acts on external complaints and requests, given by Municipalities and Hotline, as instructed by the Operations Supervisor.
- Acts on internal complaints and requests, given by Operations Management and Quality Control, as instructed by the Operations Supervisor.
- Reports major shortfalls or breach of regulations to the Operations Supervisor and to the Labor Affairs, providing necessary information for inspections.
- Monitors Laborers attendance and presence on the assigned locations, reporting absence to the Labor Affairs and to the Operations Supervisor to ensure reliever.
- Responsible for complying with the applicable HSE procedures, instructions, requirements, laws, regulations from customers, regulatory and statutory bodies and those applicable to his/her job requirements.
- Responsible for reporting to his/her superiors’ occurrences, events, violations and acts that may affect the environment, health, safety and company reputation.

Complies with the Health & Safety instructions:
- Responsible in exercising due diligence towards health & safety of self & others in the organization
- Responsible to comply with the applicable HSE procedures, instructions, requirements, standards received from regulatory and statutory bodies
- Responsible for reporting to superior occurrences, events, violations and acts that may impact staff health and safety or the environment
- Performs other tasks and activities as requested.

Requirements

- Fluent in English. Second language is an advantage.
- Good command of computer skills and MS applications.
- Good communication skills.
- Good knowledge of HSE standard.
- Ability to work under harsh conditions
