Chicks Handling In-Charge (Female)

Job description / Role

Primary Function:
• Responsibility and supervision of all operations in the chick room from sorting to loading
• Full responsibility for providing the appropriate environmental conditions for chicks during the chick’s processes

General Responsible for:
• Manage chick Handling to implement of all procedures to produce the highest quality and quantity of the chicks at the lowest cost.
• Ensure that all chicks room automation, equipment, HVAC systems and all other tools is used as per manufacturers recommendations for running and maintenance
• Ensure that all biosecurity, hygiene, cleaning and disinfection systems has been followed as per approved procedures
• Ensure that Preventive maintenance program for all machineries, Equipment and automation has been implemented by Maintenance in time
• Ensure that all reports have been completed in time and submitted to Department manager
• Ensures that the quality and HACCP requirements has been following in all the process
• following up weekly, monthly and quarterly production key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve Hatchery objectives
• Regular collection of daily data to review, analyse and taking appropriate action with coordination with Department manager
• Developing & evaluating Vaccinators to maximize their productivity
• Implementing and following up the Training of all ladies to improve their qualification

Chick room Responsible for:
• Ensure the chicks sorting has been done as per approved procedure
• Ensure that chick’s vaccination Processes has been done as per approved procedure
• Direct supervision and full responsibility for vaccination processes either injection or spray and ensure that every chick had got the correct dose in correct place
• Following up vaccination machines during work, ensure that all machines have correct pressure, dose and number
• Following up vaccinator’s quality, speed and numbers
• Ensure That Storage and handling Of Vaccine done as per approved procedure
• Counting, Grading, weighing, and Holding of Day-Old Chicks as per Chicks handling procedure
• Monitor & record Temperature, RH% and Ventilation in all chick’s area
• Ensure that cleaning, disinfecting chick room, machines has been done as per the procedure every day after finishing work
• Ensure that the disposal of chick room waste has been done according to the procedures every day
• Ensure That the chicks delivery truck environment is maintained as per procedure before chicks loading

Requirements

• Bachelor/MBA in Animal Production or related
• At least 7-10 Years Practical experience in commercial poultry hatchery
