Chief Accountant

Job description / Role

Support its accounting functions by conducting accounting verification of expenses, reimbursements and payments, back-up documentation and assist in other finance related works to meet dead-lines, internal standards and customer satisfaction.

Major responsibilities are:
- Monitor accounting transactions and see it is adhered strictly to the procedures and guidelines to ensure that accounting books and records are properly maintained, conform to the Group policy and local regulations.
- Conduct monitoring activities by consulting, checking and filing to ensure that it is in line with internal control guideline and local requirement.
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
- Monitor cash flow by reviewing Cash Flow statement to ensure optimum utilisation of working capital
- Prepare payroll by processing salaries as per salary register and to ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries
- Assist and comply with all VAT regulations as per local requirements

Requirements

- Master or Bachelor of Commerce or Post Graduate Diploma in Finance.
- Additionally, must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Sultanate of Oman or any GCC country.
- Experience in real estate or property management before is an advantage
