Civil Supervisor

On-site (Nimr and Amin, Oman)
Employment type: 1-year contract

We are seeking a civil supervisor to oversee civil engineering activities across two wind project sites in Oman. This role involves managing earthworks, wind turbine foundations, and structural installations, including substation civil works, ensuring compliance with technical designs, project standards, and HSE requirements. You will work closely with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality execution of civil works.

Key responsibilities

Project supervision

• Manage all civil works including site preparation, earthworks, hardstands, crane pads, internal roads, wind turbine foundations, and substation civil works.
• Ensure construction designs and drawings are executed per specifications and standards.
• Monitor progress to maintain schedule and budget alignment.

Monitoring EPC work

• Supervise EPC contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with project scope and standards.
• Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and project company requirements.

Quality and compliance

• Conduct inspections to verify quality and safety standards.
• Review civil foundations and substation works to ensure structural integrity.
• Identify and address non-conformities or deviations promptly.

HSE coordination

• Promote a safe working environment and enforce HSE protocols in coordination with the HSSE manager.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety regulations.

Stakeholder collaboration

• Liaise with contractors, site teams, and engineers to ensure smooth execution.
• Collaborate with the construction manager and supervisors to resolve technical challenges.

Reporting and documentation

• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and issues encountered.

Qualifications & experience

• Bacheloru2019s degree in civil engineering plus 5 years of relevant experience, or diploma in civil engineering plus 8 years relevant experience.
• Proven experience managing civil works for renewable energy projects (wind energy experience mandatory).
• Experience in large-scale construction projects; solar experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of construction standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
