Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with International EPC who is looking to hire a Construction Manager for a project in Oman on a 1 year contract. You will be responsible for managing the contractors scope of work including contract review, quality assurance, cost and schedule for completion of project.
You will be responsible for reviewing procedures, method statements and all documents for the project and support the engineers and quality department during the project to dossier preparation. You will supervise the site based engineering, supervisors & ground staff and maintain communication between the companies, the contractor and sub-contractor as per project requirements. You will also log all non-conformances reported on site and ensure measures are taken to solve them efficiently and ensure the daily/weekly progress of the contract is informed to the Project leader.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 15 years experience in a similar environment including EPC project experience in Oil & Gas. You should also have proven experience in delivery of projects with heavy lifting procedures, studies & plans, safety training in PTW system and H2s. In addition, you should have experience managing a diverse national workforce and be able to work under pressure with limited supervision. Due to the project commitments and rotation schedule for the 1 year, you should be able to mobilize in the next 60 days.
