Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are looking for a reliable Construction Manager to source new profitable projects, plan construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for developing the company to be a professional construction company.

Responsibilities:
- Sourcing new profitable projects and plan to grow the company business in Oman.
- Hiring and training workers and subcontractors, as well as making sure the project meets all building and safety codes.
- Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion
- Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
- Overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
- Coordinate and direct construction supervisors and subcontractors
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
- Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

Requirements

- Proven working experience in construction management. Proven ability to develop construction business.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
- Leadership and human resources management skills
- Excellent time and project management skills
- BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field
- Running the day-to-day construction operations and projects management of the company.
- Seeking ways to make the company more productive by providing effective methods in its business operations.
- Handling the company overall operating budget.
- Meeting targets and contract deadlines on a month-on-month basis.
- Providing Innovative ideas to increase revenue and profits.
- Creating new channels of marketing for the company construction services.
- Preparing contracts budgets, facilitating execution of contracts, controlling inventory, handling logistics and interviewing and supervising employees.
- Ensuring customers are served in a timely and efficient matter.
- Suggesting new ways and services that will retain customers.
- Handling the company's clients and maintain their satisfactions

Nature and length of previous experience:
- 10 years in related jobs

Specialist knowledge:
- GCC Experience, Costing and surveillance experience, MS Office

- Possess excellent leadership abilities.
- Be able to consistently make intelligent decisions under pressure.
- Possess good judgment, initiative and good attitude and be dependable.
- Have a strong leadership background and must know how to handle problems quickly and efficiently.
- Have solid communication skills, strong critical and analytical thinking skills, and appreciation of diversity.
- Provide a work environment that engenders positive energy, creativity and teamwork among employees.
- Must hold a driving license and own a car if (locally hired).
