Job description / Role
Prospect Heath are very excited about working alongside the best private hospital in Oman . They have tasked us with finding 1 Consultant and 2 Specialists for their Radiology team based in Muscat's central district.
The Hospital
Located in the heart of Muscat, offering state of the art medical services. The Hospital was the first private hospital in Oman to receive JCI accreditation and has been working hard to instil a culture of clinical excellence since then.
Offering the full list of tertiary services from Anaesthetics all the way to Rheumatology its constantly expanding its services.
The Position
The hospital is currently looking for 1 consultant and 2 specialists to join their team. they are looking for those who are confident with the following procedures:
- Ultrasound scanning
- Mammography
- Breast Scans
- CT scans
- MRI
- X Ray and 4D scanning
Due to the cultural sensitivities attached to working in this specialism in Oman only female applicants will be accepted for the work associated with those parts of the female anatomy considered sensitive.
Male applications are still considered but said clinical privileges will NOT be extended to you.
Whilst Arabic is not essential it is certainly welcome and would likely put you in good stead for the role.
Location
Oman is different from the other nations in the gulf, not as busy and bustling as Dubai or Riyadh and has a much more relaxed pace of life.
Oman has some of the most striking landscapes in the Gulf and is a hotspot for hiking. Its proximity to the Indian ocean allows for spectacular snorkelling and scuba diving, even in Muscat.
If you are feeling adventurous you might take a drive to Jebel al Ahdhkar, the regions highest peak. During the drive you are taken from barren desert rocks into a lush green hilltop town that is a refreshing surprise.
From June to September during the Khareef season An Omani hotspot is Salalah. Great for a weekend trip south to escape from some of the heat in the north.
It's likely the lushest scenery you will find in the gulf and makes for a fantastic getaway. To add to this there are 4 shia tombs that are certainly worth visiting whilst there and if timed correctly there are local art and cultural festivals that go into the night during this season.

- £7,000 - £8,000 GBP per month for Specialists
- £8,000 - £11,000 GBP per month for Consultants
