Cook - Catering Production

Job description / Role

- Organise the as per the day requirement based on the advice from Production Supervisor
- Prepare MIS in place and cook for meals as per airline specifications
- Follows the set recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
- Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.
- Clean and maintain station while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation and organizational skills.
- Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station.
- Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas.
- Monitor food rotation and storage.
- Ensure that the specifications and time schedule in Production are strictly followed.
- Give training and guidance to subordinate staff.
- Any other duty as directed by Chef de Partie.
- Adhere to hygiene standards as per Company regulations.
- Ensure that all standards of ISO Food Safety Management System 22000:2005 and Quality Management System 9001:2008 that relate to the job are always met.

Requirements

Professional Technical Certificate in catering /production with Secondary school certificate. OR Secondary school certificate having 4 years of relevant work experience in flight kitchen or 4/5 star hotel.

OR Relevant years of experiences in preparation of Traditional Omani home food (To be practically tested)* (*If suitable Omani candidates are not met with the above qualification). Diploma in catering would be an added advantage
