Dairy Production Supervisor

Job description / Role

- Follows company hygiene standards.
- Implements Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Trains new production staff to ensure proper operation.
- Allocates task to operators and dairy helpers according to their talent and skill.
- Coordinates with the Quality Control department to ensure good quality of products.
- Coordinates with the maintenance department to ensure implementing preventive maintenance.
- Optimizes production schedules to minimize utilities consumption
- Develops an understanding and knowledge of processing equipment and all relevant tasks required to be carried out by the production staff.
- Ensures that all duties are carried out in accordance with standard operating procedures specified in the Quality System.
- Ensures corrective actions on all process deviations are taken immediately.
- Liaises with raw material storekeeper to ensure all raw materials are delivered timely and in an efficient manner.
- Controls the Process and packaging losses within the budget limit.
- Ensure full implementation of defined and laid down safety systems and work practices and continually upgrade safety practices and awareness within staff

Requirements

University Qualifications: B. Tech- Dairy Technology/Degree in Food science

Nature and length of previous experience: 5 years experience in Supervisory position in any large dairy- GCC experience will be an added advantage

Specialist knowledge: Dairy Technology with exposure to Oracle

Soft Skills and Personality traits: Ability to motivate the production team, possess problem solving techniques, team building skills and creativity, with emphasis on process improvement and operational effectiveness. Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus required

Dhofar Cattle Feed Company was founded in 1984 with a production capacity of 120,000MT per annum with its animal feed brand as A’ Sanabil. The capacity was increased to 150,000MT in 1993 to meet the market demand.Further expansion on 2014 with the construction of a new plant with a production capacity of 250,000MT per annum resulting in present total production capacity of 400,000 MT/ annum.
