Employment: Full Time

Operation

- Ensure that all the equipment’s (Hi-loader, vans, galley carts etc.) and the manpower during the shifts are properly allocated.
- Communicating with all concerned agencies, the Departments and with the shift staff in order to carry out the operation smoothly and effectively. At the end of the shift to review the shift operations and to brief the next shift on all matters related to catering operations.
- Coordinate with all the sections and units in Catering Department to ensure smooth handling of all flights and draw attention of sectional supervisors for immediate required solutions to enhance the operation.
- Obtain list of any unserviceable equipment needed for Catering operation, discuss with the Officers and Supervisors and draw a plan to utilize the available equipment in the best possible way to minimize any delays, carryout a serviceability plan with the workshop and keep the management informed of the progress for necessary follow up.
- During walk around of operational areas carry out spot checks to ensure staff are aware of latest procedural changes, record in the activity and report the findings so that the Officers- Supervisors- Assistants- Equipment Operators etc. can take necessary action.
- Ensure staffs are adhering to safety and security procedures and also maintain proper customer service standards
- Interact with other departments and Airline representatives to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled and record any lapses for further discussions with the Manager – Catering Operations for follow up and rectification.
- Interact with other Airlines and Airport Authorities to ensure compliance of service level agreements.
- Ensure any irregularities are properly recorded by Duty Officers- Supervisors and initial investigation is properly carried out and all the relevant documentations are enclosed with the findings for Management review.
- Initiate required disciplinary action for staff within the departments or with HR as applicable.
- Interact with other departments to ensure proper level of coordination exists for smooth handling of flights.
- Carryout special projects entrusted by the Manager- General Manager.

General

- Comply with safety and security regulations.
- Ensure company memo’s, airline manuals, are regularly read to update current procedures and regulations.
- Carry out duties on all areas of Catering Operations as directed by superiors.

Requirements

- Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering or any other relevant Diploma; Graduate is preferable 10 years’ experience in the Aviation field in a similar capacity.
