Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a global EPC who is looking to hire an Electrical Engineer on a 1 year contract for a project in Oman. You will be responsible for planning, controlling, monitoring and executing all electrical work on the project.
As Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring electrical work on site as well as effective cost and schedule control. You will ensure that the sub-contractor estimates, prepares and assigns all resources (manpower, materials, consumables, equipment and tools) efficiently. You will also interpret construction drawings, study the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to site execution and ensure that all work is done as per approved drawings, contract documents and project specification. In conjunction, you will coordinate with the client representatives for site instructions and inspection work as well as submit daily site reports, weekly progress of contract, inspection requests, estimates and all monitoring reports.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have a Degree in Electrical Engineering as well as a minimum of 8 years' site/construction experience in basic design requirements, fabrications, estimations, installation and all site activates related to EPC project construction in Oil & Gas. You should also have strong electrical skills in electrical engineering, studies, testing, terminations, wiring, HV/LV, transformers, networks and standards. In addition, you should be familiar with all electrical engineering methodologies as well as corresponding equipment, material, consumables and man power.
