Job description / Role
- Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project ensuring OSHA compliance
- Conduct daily safety meetings
- Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
- Ensure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Daily safety audits and inspections
- Oversee all subcontractors and contractors
- Inspect power tools and heavy equipment
- Write job hazard analysis (JHA) and health & safety plans (HASP)
- Oversee Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation
Requirements
- Degree qualified in a related discipline
- Other certifications obtained: Other professional qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in a construction or a similar environment.
- Specialist knowledge: Investigative techniques experience.
- A good knowledge of local Oman legislation as well as international best practice for safety.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and a proactive approach.
- A good understanding of the English language written and oral is required.
- Well versed in MS Office.
- Soft Skills and Personality traits: Good people skills and able to communicate with different cultures.
- Age Range: 25 to 45
