Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are looking for our new Branch in Oman - Muscat International Airport, Food and Beverage Operations Executive Chef

As an Executive Chef, you are responsible for the entire Kitchen operation, food production and all related sections, including Stewarding.

Reporting to: General Manager

Main responsibilities:
* Plans food preparation and culinary activities
* Updates menus or create new ones that meet with company standards
* Controls production is made in a timely manner in accordance with the menu and recipes.
* Establishes the quality of the raw material of the food, finished and semi-finished goods to enter in the system and follows its continuance.
* Manages the goods receiving process and gives approval on the quality of related product in the cases that it is gone out of the determined goods receiving standards.
* Performs works in order to develop new product for the system.
* Supervises kitchen staff’s activities
* Rectifies arising problems or complaints come by guests
* Assures that department targets are achieved
* Plans trainings and follow developments of kitchen team members.

Subordinates: Sous Chefs, Unit Chefs
Other interactions: Human Resources, Supply Chain, Production Planning

Number required: 1
Duration: 2 year contract, may be extended both parties agreement.

Desired start date: 1.7.2017
Probation: 3 Months

Working Hours: Sunday till Thursday

Requirements

Nature and length of previous experience: Min. 5 years as Executive or Sous Chef carreer

Experienced at 4 or 5 Stars International Hotel Chains

Specialist knowledge: Culinary skills especially Middle East and Continental Cuisine

Soft Skills and Personality traits: Communication and leadership skills, keep up with cooking trends and best practices, ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently, ability to work in a team and supervising the subordinates is also an essential skill.

Language Fluency: English, Arabic
